New YouTube Resource From Grimes County!

Our YouTube channel is finally live! Watch our recorded May 12th presentation where we connect the dots and explain what is really happening to Grimes County. Spoiler alert: this is much bigger than data centers.

This was our 4th community presentation, but it is the first one we have recorded, and it is very unique compared to previous meetings.

Even if you attended one of our earlier presentations in Iola, Plantersville, or Bedias, this video includes updated structure, expanded information, and additional context that was not presented in prior meetings.

This presentation is an important overview of what is truly happening in Grimes County and across rural Texas.

While many people are hearing “data centers,” this video explains why the issue is much larger — involving AI infrastructure, energy buildout, semiconductor manufacturing, solar, battery storage, transmission expansion, tax incentives, and long-term planning decisions that will permanently shape our community.

It connects the dots between what is being proposed locally and the broader state and national forces driving rapid industrial-scale development.

It is especially important for anyone still trying to understand what is really happening in our county, and for those who want clarity on GCCRD’s position and why we are focused on transparency, public process, and protections for rural communities.

We encourage everyone to watch, share, and subscribe to stay informed as we continue releasing additional content.

COMING SOON: We will also be uploading presentations from earlier community meetings held in Iola (March), Plantersville (April), and Bedias (May). While these meetings were not recorded live, we will share the full PowerPoint presentations as they contain important information we believe every Grimes County resident should have access to.
