It is clear that the issues we face regarding Big Tech and Data Centers transcend political divisions.

Currently, large corporations and their stakeholders exert significant influence over our officials, and we must consider the long-term consequences of this expansion.

The history of technology—from cassette tapes and 8-tracks to the evolution of the first college computers and now quantum computing—shows us that innovation is constant.

However, unlike a simple phone upgrade, the development of massive data centers has a permanent impact. These facilities displace farms, ranches, and the communities we call home.

It's not just a farm and ranch that they bought -

You trying to displace people from there home

You are taking our - food we make and our homes on the farms and ranches we live at and work on

These Data Centers consume land that provides our food and materials, destroying a culture and a way of life that cannot be recovered.

As technology continues to advance toward quantum computing, we risk being left with obsolete, massive structures on land that can never be restored.

The cost of this progress is too high. We must ensure that Big Tech and data center developers are properly governed, rather than allowing them to use financial power to bypass the democratic processes we have built over the last 250 years.

I encourage everyone to get involved with local, state, and federal governments. This is not a matter of citizens against the government; rather, our officials appear to be misguided by the "pitch" from Big Tech.

We need to help our elected leaders see the big picture and understand that we are not blinded by corporate influence. We must let them know that we expect regulations and policies that protect the people and if they do this the job we elected them to do ...then we are behind them.

We the people are the foundation of this country and this state. Texans must stand with Texans because we deserve better for our land and our future.
